Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) President Chaudhary Naresh Tikait issued a stern warning, declaring a farmer lockdown on February 16th across the country. Tikait emphasized the need for RLD President Jayant Singh, perceived to be aligned with BJP, to address farmer concerns. He cautioned that failure to do so would result in significant losses, underscoring the unity of farmers nationwide in demanding solutions to their grievances.
Responding to ongoing developments in Punjab, Tikait reiterated the call for Singh's intervention, urging him to step forward and resolve farmer issues. He stressed the importance of recognizing the collective identity of farmers from all regions, emphasizing the significance of addressing core agricultural challenges beyond symbolic gestures like awarding Bharat Ratna. Tikait affirmed the unwavering determination of farmers and reiterated their resolve to continue the movement until their demands regarding sugarcane pricing, MSP, and other key issues are addressed, with all eyes fixed on Delhi.
